Bob Gentry
Bass player for Tom Jones Band, Lee Ann Rimes and one of Dallas’s first call studio musicians. Bob is a multi-instrumentalist, record producer, audio engineer, and one of the finest editors in the music industry today. His New Masters Studio in Tyler, TX is a state-of-the-art facility and one to which some of the best session musicians in the country have traveled for various projects over the years. Bob started his production career at Robin Hood Studios in Tyler, TX. Bob is a co-producer on this project with Boyd and Jane.
Drummer, percussionist and vocalist, Buckingham Nicks and Los Angeles studio drummer. Now living and working in Branson, Mo. Gary (Boyd will always call him “Hoppy”) has played/recorded with numerous artists including Buddy Miles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jose Feliciano, Midnight Special Television Show, Don Kershner’s Rock Concert TV Show, KTTV Musical Variety Show (Dallas), Ricky Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band, The Cowsills, Music Laden Germany TV), Star Club (Hamburg, Germany), Mike Campbell Revue featuring Lindsey Wagner, Little Richard, Loser’s Club, Dallas, The Texans/Bob-O-Links, Jim Stafford Show, Christy Lane Show, Box Car Willie, Ferlin Huskey, John Davidson, Ozark Jubilee (Johnny Russell, Connie Smith, Tom T. Hall, Jeanie Sealy, Tommy Cash, etc.) among others. Gary has a 2007 release titled “Without a Leg to Stand On” co-produced by Gary and legendary arranger Charlie Chalmers.
Founder and lead guitarist of 1960s psychedelic garage band Southwest F.O.B. Their only released album, “Smell of Incense” has been re-released on Sundazed Records. Ovid also toured and recorded with Seals & Crofts and England Dan & John Ford Coley. Ovid asked Boyd to join Southwest F.O.B. in the late 60s as their bass player and as lead vocalist when Dan Seals left the band. Ovid is currently working on a solo CD.
Drummer with The Andy Timmons Band and a top call studio drummer in Dallas. Dan has toured and recorded with several major label artists including Backstreet Boys, Lee Ann Rimes and Olivia Newton-John. Dan is sponsored by Zildjian, Vic Firth, DDrum and DW Drums.
One of the most sought-after pianists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, freelance performer, studio musician, writer and arranger. Roland co-produced daughter Emily Elbert’s new CD “Bright Side” released in 2006 on Full Sun Records. You’re likely to have heard his music on television and radio jingles for American Airlines, Cadillac, Doritos, Neiman-Marcus, Coors, and many others.
Lynn Groom, singer, songwriter and keyboard player, played keyboards on “Janie Was A Big Girl”. He and Boyd have been friends since the 80s. As a recording artist, Lynn has recorded with Delbert McClinton, B.J. Thomas, Dr. John, Freddy Fender, Don Nix, among others. Lynn also plays guitar, bass and other instruments.
